Job summary

The Jackson Clinic is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to manage coding, billing, and collections across the clinic network in Montgomery, AL. You will work with a third-party billing company, enter hospital charges for providers, and review end-of-month reports for accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years medical billing experience in a physician setting, strong CPT/ICD coding knowledge, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. AAPC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–2 years experience in medical billing in a physician office or related setting preferred.
• Certification in Physician Coding with AAPC preferred; CPT/ICD coding knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage revenue cycle for clinic billing, coding, and collections.
• Process and enter hospital charges for all providers.
• Respond to 3rd party billing queries to resolve errors.
• Generate end-of-month reports and monitor daily charges submission.
• Educate staff on revenue cycle processes and patient registration/billing steps.
• Assist with prior authorizations and routine month-end reporting.
• Submit credentialing/appointment packets as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
