Job summary

Jackson Clinic is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to manage the professional billing lifecycle, including coding, billing, and collections across multiple clinics. The role requires resolving third-party billing queries, posting charges, and providing frontline billing support to staff.

You will assist with prior authorizations, credentialing, and month-end reporting while serving as a super user for the electronic medical record and front-end clinic processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years experience in medical billing in a physician office or physician office related setting.
• Certification in Physician Coding with AAPC preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication required, telephone etiquette, customer relations skills.
• CPT and ICD Coding. Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Manage revenue cycle for Jackson Clinic professional billing, including coding, billing and collections.
• Enter hospital and other charges to submit to third party billing company.
• Address billing issues by following up with providers and third party billing company.
• Answer patient billing questions and act as a resource for staff on billing questions.
• Handle end-of-month reports, logs for point-of-service collections, cash reconciliation and payment posting.
• Assist with prior authorizations for surgeries and procedures as needed.
• Educate appropriate revenue cycle processes across clinic offices and assist with credentialing for physicians.
