Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst I to review, educate, maintain, report and improve all aspects of the Revenue Cycle, including monitoring systems, developing reports and data sets, analyzing revenue and identifying root causes.

The role collaborates with clinical managers to improve charge entry and bill generation, tracks trends and suggests improvements, supports budgeting, policies and procedure manuals, and provides training to staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Healthcare, Management, or IT or related field.
• Two years of revenue cycle experience or one year in data analytics consulting.
• Preferred knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.

Responsibilities

• Review, educate, maintain, report and improve Revenue Cycle components.
• Monitor Revenue Cycle systems and develop reports/datasets.
• Analyze revenue and identify root causes; design improvements.
• Handle reporting/data extraction and analytics tasks.
• Collaborate with clinical managers to improve charge entry and billing.
• Develop policies and procedures; maintain system profiles and manuals.
• Assist in budgeting and sound financial practices within the department.
