Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum required: 1-2 years' experience completing pre-certifications/prior authorizations in hospital/medical office/Patient Access.
• Preferred: 3-5 years' experience in a hospital/medical office setting handling pre-certifications.

Responsibilities

• Insurance verification and pre-certification for outpatient services to ensure authorization.
• Document data related to eligibility and benefits in Epic fields and report trends to management.
• Manage daily worklists to prioritize tasks and maintain productivity.
• Secure accounts in a timely manner following Due Diligence standards.
• Communicate improvements and issues related to verification to department leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
