Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston is seeking a Revenue Control/Cash Posting Supervisor to support the Billing Manager by overseeing daily revenue and cash posting operations, supervising staff, and ensuring accurate reconciliation.

You will train staff, monitor productivity, resolve discrepancies, maintain cash management systems, and participate in cross-functional meetings while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in healthcare billing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and billing systems.
• Knowledge of cash management and reconciliation processes.
• Understanding of hospital/professional billing and payer requirements.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze issues and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day unit operations by coordinating workflows, overseeing staff activities, and ensuring work is completed and on schedule.
• Train staff on cash posting operation procedures, system functionality, and departmental expectations.
• Monitor productivity, inventory, and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
• Reconcile posted payments with bank deposits and cash receipts to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Help maintain cash management systems and payer code crosswalks to support accurate posting and reporting processes.
• Lead or participate in meetings with vendors, payers, accounting, and internal teams to resolve issues and support operational goals.
• Supervise staff. Hire, develop, and manage staff to achieve organizational goals.
