Job summary

Harness is seeking a technically strong Revenue Accounting Lead to own ASC 606 compliance, month-end close, revenue projects and controls. This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting and operational excellence, partnering with DealOps, Business System, FP&A, Legal, and Product.

You will lead the monthly revenue close, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, enforce SOX controls, coordinate with external auditors, and drive system improvements with NetSuite or equivalents.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience with ASC 606 in SaaS/software.
• Experience in private and public company settings with strong documentation standards.
• Hands-on month-end close ownership and audit coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the monthly revenue close with contracts review and ASC 606 analysis.
• Maintain SOX-ready policies, procedures, and control narratives for revenue.
• Lead coordination with external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
• Build automated revenue schedules and reporting templates.
• Partner with DealOps, Business System, FP&A, Legal and Product on revenue matters.
• Mentor junior team members and set standards for documentation.
