Job summary

ModMed is seeking a Manager, Accounting – Revenue to lead revenue accounting, reporting, and analysis ensuring ASC 606 compliance and alignment with business goals. The role partners across functions to translate commercial activity into reliable financial outcomes while developing a high-performing revenue accounting team.

You will oversee revenue close, forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking for specialty-level metrics, collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Deal Desk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with revenue exposure.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically ASC 606.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with NetSuite and BI/forecasting tools (preferred).
• Proven leadership and cross-functional influence.
• Preferred: 3–5+ years in SaaS or technology companies; CPA and public accounting experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including review of customer contracts, amendments, and complex arrangements; ensure appropriate accounting treatment and documentation.
• Manage revenue-related close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of management and external reporting.
• Partner with FP&A and business leaders to support revenue forecasting, budgeting, and tracking of key KPIs (ARR, churn, net revenue retention).
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Deal Desk on deal structuring, pricing changes, and contract reviews for revenue accuracy and compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and review the work of revenue accountants and analysts; set priorities and support career development.
• Serve as primary contact for auditors on revenue matters; maintain internal controls and SOX compliance where applicable.
• Identify and implement process improvements; support M&A, system implementations, and strategic initiatives.
