Job summary

Netskope, a leader in cloud security, is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to oversee technical revenue accounting, support contract review, and drive efficiency in the revenue reporting cycle. You will partner with Revenue Operations on monthly and quarterly reporting and help ensure SOX controls and documentation are robust.

The role requires deep Excel expertise, experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, and comfort using AI tools to enhance processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with revenue accounting and SOX controls preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills; experience building financial models or reports is a plus.
• Comfort using AI tools to improve accounting workflows, analysis, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Technical Revenue Manager with contract review and evaluating revenue recognition treatment for standard and semi-complex arrangements.
• Review revenue contracts with Sales, Sales Operations, and Deal Desk to flag non-standard terms and support recognition conclusions.
• Support technical revenue accounting research and draft supporting memos and documentation.
• Maintain and update SOX documentation for revenue-related controls and assist with SOX testing.
• Support internal and external audit requests related to revenue recognition and SOX controls.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue reporting with journal entries and financial statement support.
• Build and maintain Excel-based analyses, models, and reports for revenue reporting and ad hoc requests.
• Identify and implement opportunities to use AI tools and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Document and improve revenue accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Provide support on broader operational accounting projects as needed.
• Prepare revenue-related disclosures for MD&A in quarterly and annual SEC filings.
