Job summary

Reformation is seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to join our hybrid team in Vernon, CA, blending in-office collaboration with remote work. You’ll lead revenue recognition (ASC 606), manage AR, and partner with Operations, DC, and Wholesale to streamline invoicing and collections.

With 5+ years of ecommerce/retail accounting, a 4-year finance degree, and ERP experience (NetSuite preferred), you’ll help drive accurate reporting, month-end closes, and robust internal controls while

• 5+ years accounting experience within ecommerce, retail or CPG environment
• Bachelor's / Four year degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field required
• 2 years of large-scale ERP experience; NetSuite experience a plus
• Strong problem solving aptitude and ability to analyze transactional detail and communicate findings

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting of multiple revenue streams and ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Reconcile and investigate outstanding accounts receivable balances
• Reconcile and dispute chargebacks for AR balances
• Collaborate with Operations, DC, Wholesale and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate invoicing and collections
• Review and approve all deferred revenue calculations with adequate support
• Create and maintain revenue-related monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries and review month-end reconciliations from direct reports
• Assist with monthly financial analysis and ad-hoc reports
• Manage and develop Revenue Accounting team day-to-day and month-end functions
• Maintain organized transaction documentation for audits and internal/external processes

Work Location/ Schedule: Hybrid 3-4 days in office/week in Vernon

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee the accounting of multiple revenue streams as well as the design, implementation, and execution of scalable and effective processes for a more efficient close and control environment ensuring proper revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Reconcile and investigate outstanding accounts receivable balances
• Reconcile and dispute chargebacks for all of our AR balances
• Work with Operations, DC, Wholesale, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate customer invoicing and collections. Collaborating for a seamless billing process
• Review and approve all deferred revenue calculations, ensuring adequate support
• Create and maintain revenue-related monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries, as well as review and approve JEs and timely account reconciliations from direct reports
• Assist with monthly financial analysis and various ad-hoc reports
• Manage and develop the operations of the Revenue Accounting team with full responsibility for day-to-day and month-end functions
• Maintain organized transaction documentation for audits and support internal/external audit processes.

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years accounting experience within an e-commerce, retail or CPG environment
• Bachelor’s / Four (4) year degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field required
• 2 years of large-scale ERP experience Netsuite experience a plus
• Strong problem solving aptitude. Identify root causes, gather and process relevant information, and make recommendations for solutions
• Ability to effectively analyze transactional level detail in an enterprise resource planning system and articulate the key findings to management
• Must be able to collaborate and build positive relationships cross-functionally to effectively make recommendations and implement process improvements
• Action-oriented and solution-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment

Compensation:

At Reformation, we believe in transparency and equity when it comes to compensation. For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $120,000 - $140,000 + 10% bonus eligibility, depending on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal compensation equity.

This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a range of factors, including company performance, department goals, and individual contributions. Bonus amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and are determined at the company’s discretion.
