Job summary

Reformation, a mission-driven fashion company, is seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to join our Vernon, CA team in a hybrid schedule (3–4 days in office). You will oversee revenue streams, ASC 606 compliance, and journal entries while partnering with Operations, DC, Wholesale, and Finance to ensure accurate invoicing and timely close.

The role requires 5+ years in ecommerce/retail accounting, a Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting, and NetSuite ERP experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience within an ecommerce, retail or CPG environment.
• Bachelor’s / Four (4) year degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field required.
• 2 years of large-scale ERP experience Netsuite experience a plus.
• Strong problem solving aptitude. Identify root causes, gather and process relevant information, and make recommendations for solutions
• Ability to effectively analyze transactional level detail in an enterprise resource planning system and articulate the key findings to management
• Must be able to collaborate and build positive relationships cross-functionally to effectively make recommendations and implement process improvements
• Action-oriented and solution-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting of multiple revenue streams with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Reconcile and investigate outstanding accounts receivable balances.
• Reconcile and dispute chargebacks for AR balances.
• Collaborate with Operations, DC, Wholesale for invoicing and collections.
• Review and approve all deferred revenue calculations and related support.
• Create and maintain revenue-related balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare JEs and review/approve month-end reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly financial analysis and ad-hoc reports.
• Manage and develop Revenue Accounting team day-to-day operations.
• Maintain transaction documentation for audits and internal/external reviews.

The Role:

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee the accounting of multiple revenue streams as well as the design, implementation, and execution of scalable and effective processes for a more efficient close and control environment ensuring proper revenue recognition under ASC 606


• Reconcile and investigate outstanding accounts receivable balances


• Reconcile and dispute chargebacks for all of our AR balances


• Work with Operations, DC, Wholesale, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate customer invoicing and collections. Collaborating for a seamless billing process


• Review and approve all deferred revenue calculations, ensuring adequate support


• Create and maintain revenue-related monthly balance sheet account reconciliations


• Prepare journal entries, as well as review and approve JEs and timely account reconciliations from direct reports


• Assist with monthly financial analysis and various ad-hoc reports


• Manage and develop the operations of the Revenue Accounting team with full responsibility for day-to-day and month-end functions


• Maintain organized transaction documentation for audits and support internal/external audit processes.

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years accounting experience within an e-commerce, retail or CPG environment


• Bachelor’s / Four (4) year degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field required

Compensation:

At Reformation, we believe in transparency and equity when it comes to compensation. For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $120,000 - $140,000 + 10% bonus eligibility, depending on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal compensation equity.

This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a range of factors, including company performance, department goals, and individual contributions. Bonus amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and are determined at the company’s discretion.
