Job summary

CFS is hiring a Revenue Accountant in Pittsburgh, PA, offering a hybrid work setup. The role emphasizes ownership of revenue recognition under ASC 606, collaboration with Commercial, Legal, Operations, and Accounting teams, and improving accounting processes through automation.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of revenue/accounting experience, and advanced Excel skills for financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of accounting, revenue accounting, or finance experience.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong financial analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer agreements and contract changes to determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Own revenue-related close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, account schedules, and variance analysis.
• Develop supporting documentation for revenue conclusions and technical accounting matters.
• Support quarterly and year-end reporting while executing applicable SOX controls.
• Improve revenue accounting workflows through automation, technology, and data-driven process enhancements.
