Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Revenue Accountant for a large oil and gas company in Houston, TX. You will support revenue accounting activities, including recording revenue transactions, allocations, accruals, cash application, and maintaining records in ProCount, TIPS and SAP.

Responsibilities include monthly AP/AR reconciliations, analyzing production volumes and revenue trends, researching variances, and supporting month-end close while expanding knowledge of oil and gas production, revenue

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (min 21 hours of accounting credit).
• Excellent fundamental accounting skills; hands on experience with general ledger reconciliations.
• Excellent MS Excel spreadsheet experience.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Oil & gas industry experience.
• SAP, PGAS, and/or TIPS software applications experience.
• Experience working in ProCount.

Responsibilities

• Record revenue transactions and complete production allocations.
• Prepare revenue accruals and apply cash receipts.
• Maintain accurate financial records within ProCount, TIPS, and SAP.
• Prepare manual uploads and maintain marketing arrangements.
• Ensure division of interest ownership is accurately reflected and report severance tax accruals.
• Perform month-end close activities and reconciliations for AP/AR where needed.
• Analyze production volumes and revenue trends; research variances.

Insight Global is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join the team at a large oil and gas company here in Houston, Texas. The Revenue Accountant will support oil and gas revenue accounting activities, including recording revenue transactions, completing production allocations, preparing revenue accruals, applying cash receipts, and maintaining accurate financial records within ProCount, TIPS, and SAP. Responsibilities include preparing manual uploads, establishing and maintaining marketing arrangements, ensuring division of interest ownership is accurately reflected, and calculating and reporting severance tax accruals. This role will also perform monthly Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reconciliations, analyze production volumes and revenue trends, research and explain variances, and support month-end close activities while developing a strong understanding of oil and gas production, revenue settlements, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting requirements.
