Job description

Brown and Caldwell (BC) is seeking a Reuse Process Engineering National Specialty Lead (NSL) with expertise in water reuse planning and advanced treatment processes to evaluate, plan, and design treatment infrastructure. The role involves collaboration with the national reuse team to support market growth, develop talent, and attract reuse professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead within the national practice team, collaborating with the Reuse National Practice Leader and regional leads to advance practice strategies and promote technical differentiation.
  2. Support development of innovative solutions through strategic R&D and engagement with the National Technical/Innovation Leader.
  3. Oversee the creation and application of national technical standards, ensuring consistent and high-quality practice execution.
  4. Engage directly on strategic and complex projects throughout their lifecycle, from concept to risk mitigation.
  5. Support pursuit efforts, including technical direction, talent identification, proposal development, and interviews.
  6. Ensure effective engagement of Subject Matter Specialists in project teams to maintain technical consistency and quality.
  7. Provide expert consultation in water treatment, reuse, and wastewater systems, making informed decisions and solving problems.
  8. Stay current with developments in advanced water treatment processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in water system engineering, including master planning, process selection, modeling, and design of water/reuse treatment facilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience in presentations and report writing.
  • Experience in marketing, proposal writing, and public speaking.
  • Active participation in professional organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PE License.

Salary Range: The starting salary varies by location, ranging from $145,000 to $238,000, depending on the specific location and candidate qualifications.
