Description

Brown and Caldwell (BC) has an exciting opportunity to join our Reuse Practice as an Area Practice Leader. Help us grow our portfolio of Direct Potable Reuse (DPR), Indirect Potable Reuse (IPR), and Non-Potable Reuse projects.

The Area Practice Leader (APL) is a key member of the reuse team, responsible for driving the growth of the Reuse Practice. The role involves understanding regional trends, creating technical differentiation, and serving as a conduit between the Reuse Practice and the Business Unit (BU). The APL collaborates with roles such as Regional Practice Lead (RPL), Project Manager, Client Service Manager, and Subject Matter Expert.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and drive Area practice strategy: Collaborate with RPL, Practice, and BU Leaders to develop strategies based on market trends, competition, and client needs, aligning with BU and National Practice strategies. Participate in annual business planning.
  2. Enhance external visibility and brand projection: Represent BC's Reuse practice at conferences, seminars, and meetings, highlighting our projects and solutions.
  3. Drive business development: Coordinate with teams to identify opportunities and improve awareness of solutions that resonate with clients.
  4. Build capacity for quality delivery: Identify staffing needs, recruit, and develop staff in alignment with strategy, supporting current and future growth.
  5. Bring technical advantage to sales process: Participate in go/no-go decisions, engage technical resources, and support project staffing to build skills and qualifications.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • B.S. or M.S. in engineering or related field required.
  • Professional registration preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental services, water utility, or consulting industry.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
