Job summary

Reuben's Brews is seeking a Brand Ambassador to drive sample-to-sale conversions by leading in-store tastings, festival activations, and community events across Puget Sound. You will represent our beer and the Party On non-alcoholic line, while partnering with sales teams and wholesalers to maximize reach and impact.

The role requires weekend/evening availability, reliable scheduling, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with a valid WA driver's license and related permits.

Qualifications

• Retail demo, beverage, hospitality or events experience is a plus but not required.
• Reliability; shifts scheduled weeks ahead and attendance is critical.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must hold a valid Washington driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
• MAST permit and WA Food Worker Card or willing to obtain within two weeks (reimbursement provided).

Responsibilities

• Run in-store tastings at grocery stores, bottle shops, and retailers across Puget Sound.
• Pour at festivals, events, and community activations (including weekends/evenings).
• Represent the full Reuben's portfolio including Party On non-alcoholic line and discuss it knowledgably.
• Set up and break down kit (canopy, table, cooler, signage) and keep products presented.
• Capture and report data after shifts (samples, location, feedback, inquiries).
• Build relationships with store staff, beer buyers, event organizers, and wholesaler reps.
• Transport product, equipment, and signage to/from activations.
• Support sales and taproom events when needed.

Job description

Position Summary

Reuben's Brews Brand Ambassador will report to our Director of Sales, and the successful candidate will be responsible for putting Reuben's beer directly into the hands of new drinkers — running in-store tastings at grocery and bottle shops across Puget Sound, pouring at festivals and events, and representing us at community events. Brand Ambassadors have one primary goal: to turn a first taste into a customer. The successful applicant will work closely with our sales team and our wholesaler partners.

About Us

Reuben's Brews is a family brewery founded in 2012. We brew from the glass backwards: designing each beer with intention, unbound by constraints. We know making the extra effort is worth it. We are the most decorated brewery in Washington, have two brewhouses, two tasting rooms, and we distribute our beer predominantly in the Pacific Northwest. In 2025 we brewed 24,000 BBLs.

The Role

• Running in-store tastings at grocery stores, bottle shops and specialty retailers across Puget Sound — this is the core of the role and the part that moves the numbers
• Pouring and sampling at festivals, events and community activations, including weekends and some evenings
• Representing the full Reuben's portfolio — our beer and our Party On non‑alcoholic line — and knowing all of it well enough to talk about it with anyone
• Setting up and breaking down your own kit: canopy, table, cooler, ice, signage — and keeping product cold and properly presented at all times
• Starting conversations with people who didn't ask to be talked to, and handling skepticism gracefully
• Merchandising while on site: facing the shelf, checking cold box placement, noting out‑of‑stocks and anything that doesn't look right
• Accurately reporting data after every shift — samples poured, location, customer feedback, and any account or venue asking where to buy
• Building and maintaining relationships with store staff, beer buyers, event organizers and wholesaler reps
• Transporting product, equipment and signage safely to and from activations
• Helping out across sales and potentially taproom events when needed

The successful candidate will have

• An infectious positivity - this is the whole job.
• Retail demo, beverage, hospitality or events experience is a plus but not a requirement
• Reliability - shifts are scheduled weeks ahead and a missed shift is a booth nobody staffed
• Physical demands include but are not limited to: Frequently required to stand and walk for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; regularly lift or move cases of beer and coolers of ice (up to 50 pounds); loading and unloading a vehicle
• Valid Washington driver's license and a clean driving record required
• MAST permit and Washington Food Worker Card required, or willing to obtain within your first two weeks — we'll reimburse both
• Availability on weekends and some evenings, minimum two shifts per week
