Job summary

Meyer Distributing in Jasper, IN is seeking a Returns Inspector to inspect returned products and decide if they can go back to inventory or be sent to the vendor. The role requires attention to detail, basic data entry, and depends on reliable daily performance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and about one year of warehouse experience, with a schedule Mon-Thu mornings through early afternoons and occasional Friday/Saturday shifts as noted.

• One year of previous warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect returned product and determine if complete order was returned for quality.
• Re-pack and place quality returned items back into inventory if resellable.
• Keep accurate records on RGA numbers and product condition.
• Perform minor repairs to quality items if needed.
• Keep warehouse and work area clean and organized.
• Wear protective toed shoes and work in a safe manner.
• All other duties as assigned.

Meyer Distributing is looking for a Returns Inspector to join our Jasper, IN team.

The Returns Inspector inspects the returned product and determines if it may be returned to inventory or sent back to the vendor.

Preferred Experience for a Returns Inspector:

• Education/Certification(s): High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Experience: One year of previous warehouse experience preferred

Pay Rate for a Returns Inspector:

• $18.00 per hours

Schedule for a Returns Inspector:

• Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 3:45 PM
• Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:45 PM
• Saturday, 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM with notice

Requirements for a Returns Inspector:

• Ability to give special attention to detail required. Must have the ability to identify letters and numbers
• Must have a computer and data entry skills
• Must have the ability to problem solve
• Must have the ability to make timely decisions
• Must adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• The individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, and responds to management direction
• Must have the ability to orally communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and other employees

Returns Inspector duties include but are not limited to:

• Inspect returned product and determine if complete order was returned for quality
