The American Wholesale Book Company seeks a Returns Dock Associate for the 3rd shift in Florence, AL. You will handle all shipping/receiving on the dock, process returns, scan items, count and move product, and report activities to the Returns Manager.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and warehouse experience; PIT certification or willingness to obtain it is preferred. Must stand/walk extensively and lift up to 50 lbs.

Description

The Returns Dock associate reports directly to the Returns Manager. Responsible for all shipping/receiving on the dock. The Returns dock associate must be able to perform all returns functions including but not limited to: Processing returns, scanning, counting, moving product, shipping product, unloading truck trailers and reporting. The Returns Dock Associate demonstrates behavior that supports AWBC core values.

• Load Trailers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• PIT certified or willing to become PIT certified.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Continuously stand up to 4 hours.
• Walk between 4-6 miles a day. Walking short distances through the department/building.
• Use hands/arms to pick and carry product and operate required equipment.
• Lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Speak in English with or without an assistive device.
• Hear with or without an assistive device.
• Read and write legibly. Including very small print.
• Accurately identify the correct items from their correct location.
