This position functions in a manufacturing environment at a TA Retread facility where commercial truck tires are retreaded through a series of manual and automated processes.

In this role, you can expect to:

  1. Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded.
  2. Have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide.
  3. Inspect and buff tire carcasses for retreading.
  4. Apply rubber compounds to retread the tire.
  5. Cure retreaded tires.
  6. Conduct quality control of finished product.
  7. Scan tires in at each retread step to ensure accuracy of where each tire is currently located.
  8. Observe and comply with all safety and liability guidelines and policies.
  9. Use protective safety equipment to ensure safe operation of machines.

Pay Range
$17.00 - 17.00 per hour. A pay range listed reflects the potential pay for this role. The pay will depend on various factors, such as responsibilities of the position, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Not all positions posted will have a pay range listed.

What we’d like to see:

Working Conditions

  • Lift and carry merchandise, supplies and equipment up to an approximate weight of 50 pounds and be able to maneuver items weighing 100 lbs. or more.
  • Frequently bend, stoop and reach in order to stock merchandise, service customers, reach safe drops, under and over counter supplies and goods, etc.
  • Must be able to use arms above head/shoulder level.
  • Requires upper body flexibility and strength and being able to bend down and work under trucks.
  • Climb a ladder or “step-up” to reach supplies stored in overhead areas.
  • Stand/walk for shifts up to eight hours (short breaks are provided throughout the shift).
  • Reach out and bend to operate all safety equipment, i.e., emergency cut-off switch, fire extinguisher, etc.

Work Environment
While performing these duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons. Occasionally, the employee will also be exposed to fumes and particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. While performing these duties, the employee may be exposed to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high-concentrated cleaning solutions, etc.
