Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. in Kansas is seeking a Production Assistant to support the retort area and help ensure shelf-stable products meet quality standards. The role reports to the Retort Supervisor and involves hands-on cooking, operating the retort, and maintaining clean, organized workspaces.

You will participate in safety training, wear PPE, and help document processes. Regular attendance, physical stamina, and the ability to lift 40+ lbs are required to succeed in this fast-paced production

Qualifications

• Must read and understand technical instructions.
• Detail oriented with accuracy.
• Ability to complete tasks in timely manner.
• Capable of lifting/pushing 40+ lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Must wear PPE and follow safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Regular worksite attendance.
• Pressure cooking product for commercial sterilization.
• Load and unload baskets into retort machine.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist in cooking process as needed under supervision of Retort Supervisor.
• Assist in verifying retort process by completing paperwork for filing.
• Other duties as assigned in various production areas as needed.
