Nationwide Financial is seeking an associate to manage ongoing administration of retirement plans, coordinate with plan sponsors, TPAs, and PPAs, and support sales personnel with audit preparation and client meetings.

This position will be hired on a SuccessFlex basis.
The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location:
Columbus: Three Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215
Work schedule: 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
It is our intention to fill this role in Columbus, Ohio or Scottsdale, Arizona. However, on occasion, applications from internal candidates working remotely who bring critical industry skills and relevant experience may be considered.
This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.
JOB SUMMARY: Maintains relationship by: Working with producers /plan sponsors /actuaries / TPAs and PPAs with the on-going administration of plans, providing assistance to clients with governmental audits, preparing and conducting plan sponsor / IP/TPA/PPA meetings, providing expertise and support to sales personnel, development and presentation to prospective customers. Forward Facing: Acts as a liaison between Nationwide Financial and our small to mid size PPAs, TPAs and Plans Sponsors.
PPA, TPA, Plan Sponsor, Financial Advisor (Investment Professional), Auditor, DOL, Attorneys, Accountants, Actuaries, Payroll Companies, internal and external sales.
Education: High school graduate or GED. Undergraduate studies desirable.
License/Certification/Designation: Series 6 - Associates must obtain the series 6 license within the time period designated by the business unit. If an associate fails or is unable to obtain required license within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.
Experience: 2-3 years of service industry experience, Nationwide Financial (wholesale distribution model) experience preferred.
Knowledge: Learning basic knowledge of retirement plans; begins pursuing and completes ASPPA RPF 1/2 courses.
Skills/Competencies: Basic computer skills (Excel, Word); aptitude to learn new systems; written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage high volumes of work; solid customer service skills; interpersonal skills; teamwork mindset. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to establish priorities. Ability to analyze, and recommend solutions to business issues.
