Job summary

Elevate is seeking an Accounting and Bookkeeping Specialist with retirement plan expertise to join a stable Omaha organization on a hybrid schedule. You will manage 401(k) and retirement-related inquiries, gather payroll census data, and ensure accurate reconciliation with investment records.

The role emphasizes clear communication of retirement plan rules, meticulous data handling, and collaboration with leadership to ensure compliant, accurate reporting and contributions.

Qualifications

• Experience with 401(k) and retirement plans.
• Ability to explain complex retirement plan rules clearly to non-experts.
• Strong analytical and organizational accounting skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact within the accounting department regarding 401(k) and retirement questions.
• Gather year-end payroll information, census data, W-2s, W-3s, and other required documentation from leaders of the organization.
• Reconcile payroll and participant data against investment records to ensure accuracy before completing required forms.
• Explain complex retirement plan rules in a way that everyone can easily understand and confidently act upon.
• Calculate retirement plan contributions and reconcile payroll accounts to ensure everyone is on the same page.
