Community Financial System, Inc. in Upstate New York is seeking a specialist to process retirement plan transactions in the OMNI system, perform nightly trading, and ensure timely processing.

The role requires a two-year accounting degree and at least one year of related experience with strong organizational and communication skills. You will rotate through contributions, enrollments, distributions, and other OMNI processing duties while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and internal

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year Accounting, Payroll, or applicable office experience.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and multitask.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Create and review retirement plan transactions in the OMNI recordkeeping system.
• Troubleshoot transaction rejects.
• Review trial postings of transactions prepared by other OMNI processors.
• Rotate through contributions, enrollments, distributions/loans, dividend posting, trust accounting.
• Nightly Trading.
• Ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Complete ASPPA Retirement Plan Fundamentals (RPR) courses.
• Assist with operational projects as deemed by supervisor/manager.
• Maintain compliance with laws and internal controls.
