Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking a New Business Transition Specialist to lead the onboarding of new retirement plan clients, coordinating with recordkeepers and internal teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to service. You will guide strategy, manage milestones, and resolve implementation challenges.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in retirement plan administration, implementation, or operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of qualified retirement plans (ERISA, 401(k), compliance basics).
• Familiarity with plan documents, conversions, and payroll integration processes.
• Ability to manage multiple implementations simultaneously.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong consultative and relationship management skills to influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation and conversion activities for new retirement plan clients.
• Manage timelines, priorities, and milestones, identifying risks and escalating as needed.
• Coordinate plan setup with recordkeepers, payroll providers, and internal teams.
• Serve as primary liaison across Sales, Relationship Management, Compliance, and Operations.
• Conduct onboarding meetings to review plan design and timelines.
• Ensure plan documents and provisions are aligned with compliance.
• Monitor data integrity and resolve discrepancies during implementation.
• Educate plan sponsors on plan operations and responsibilities.
• Maintain implementation tracking and promote best practices.
