CPS, Inc. is hiring a Retirement Plan Compliance Specialist to serve as a trusted ERISA expert and guide to plan sponsors. You will help shape how plan consulting operates within a modern, proprietary technology platform.

In this high-impact senior role, you will lead design reviews, manage year-end compliance, and translate regulatory changes into actionable decisions while collaborating with operations and engineering teams. NYC-based with possible travel, remote option available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ERISA operational experience (TPA, recordkeeper, or consulting).
• Strong depth in corrections, coverage testing, and amendment timing.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to sponsors.
• Forward thinking and detail oriented with comfort using modern tech.
• ASPPA credentials strongly preferred.

• Advise plan sponsors on design: eligibility, vesting, safe harbor, match formulas, profit sharing, cross tested designs.
• Lead onboarding and translate sponsor intent into clean, accurate plan elections.
• Oversee year end compliance: ADP/ACP, 410(b), 415, top heavy, coverage testing, 5500s, 1099 Rs.
• Manage corrections and guide sponsors through complex issues.
• Turn regulatory changes into clear, actionable decisions.
• Partner with Operations and serve as a subject matter expert to the engineering team refining the platform.
• Communicate clearly with sponsors, auditors, and internal teams.

A fast growing, tech forward retirement organization is hiring a Retirement Plan Compliance Specialist to serve as a trusted subject matter expert and guide to plan sponsors, and internal ERISA expert.

This is a high impact role on a small, modern team that has already scaled to 100+ plans and over $550M in assets in its first year. You’ll shape how plan consulting works in a next generation environment built entirely on proprietary technology.
