Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience as a Retirements Benefits Specialist.
• Strong integrity and customer service focus.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business materials, plans and regulations.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Discretion with sensitive information.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and use MS Office.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Processes retirement benefit applications and verifies data accuracy.
• Responds to inquiries from participants, beneficiaries, and unions.
• Determines eligibility and gathers required documents.
• Prepares correspondence regarding account information and benefits.
• Performs data entry and updates member information.
• Updates retirement data in information systems.
• Assists with special projects as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
