State of Louisiana is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Retirement Benefits Analyst in Baton Rouge to assist members with retirement options, provide written estimates, and perform preparatory work for appointments. This is a Customer Service Representative/Retirement Benefits Analyst position within the Member Services Division. Applicant must provide a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, and possess excellent customer service skills. Must be dependable and self-motivated with a good attitude, good organizational skills, and the ability to work well with others.
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
Appointment Type: Probational. LASERS requires all new hires to serve a minimum of eighteen (18) months not to exceed twenty-four (24) months in probational status including permanent state employees.
This position may be filled as a Retirement Benefits Analyst 1/2/3 or 4.
This position is a training series; therefore, if the employee development is successful, it allows the employee an opportunity to promote to an RBA 2, RBA 3, RBA 4 and Retirement Benefits Specialist. Customer Service Retirement Benefit Analyst positions are eligible to receive premium pay for all hours worked. After 6 months of employment premium pay is $1.50. This will increase to $2.00 after 12 months of employment.
