Job summary

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a Resident Service Aide for Bayfield Manor Retirement Home in Kemptville, ON. Under the direction of the Director of Wellness and registered staff, the RSA assists residents to meet their physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual needs in line with home policies.

Responsibilities include helping residents move to dining and activities, making beds, stocking supplies, assisting with meals, and providing social engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assists in transporting residents to dining, rooms and activities.
• Making beds and prepping clothing and towels for care as needed.
• Stocking supplies and processing laundry.
• Assists with meal service and feeding support for residents.
• Provides social support through reading, games and visiting.
• Adheres to policies on documentation, safety and infection control.
• Reports concerns to UCP or registered staff.

Location: Kemptville, ON

Salary Range: Starting at $22.53 per hour

Under the direction of the Director of Wellness and Registered Staff the RSA provides assistance to residents and support UCPs to fulfil the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual needs of residents in accordance to home polices, procedure and work routines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in providing assistance to residents by; transporting them to the dining room to their room and to activities and events
• Making beds, setting out personal clothing and towels for the PSW to complete care.
• Stocking supplies, putting away personal laundry and linens.
• Assists with meal service and daily snack delivery to residents and provides feeding assistance to selected residents.
• Provides social support to residents; reading, games, visiting with. .
• Adheres to established departmental polices and procedures regarding documentation, quality assurance, fire, safety, Health and Safety, environment and infection control.
• Consults with and informs UCP and registered staff of concerns from residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Requirements include

• A negative vulnerable sector check completed within 6 months of start date.
• Completion of a 2 Step TB Skin test within the last 12 months of start date.
