Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Retirement Advisor guides prospective residents through the decision to move to Panorama, functioning as both a trusted advisor and an effective ambassador for our community. The Advisor actively builds the waitlist through tours, follow-up, building relationships, and telling the Panorama story compellingly. They help each prospect make a well-informed decision by providing clear, transparent education about our services, lifestyle, and costs. They also welcome and guide new residents into the community, ensuring they arrive equipped, informed, and supported so their transition is smooth. Balancing active outreach with clear, prospect-centered guidance and a strong welcome experience is central to success. Alongside this advisory work, the position carries direct accountability for the accurate processing of applicant and reservation files and the systems that support the pipeline, requiring strong technical skills and administrative ownership.

This is a highly collaborative role that is expected to evolve alongside the department's needs. The team backs one another up, and the successful candidate is flexible, dependable, and willing to jump in wherever needed. Cross-training across the team's sales and administrative functions is an integral part of this position, and the Advisor is expected to step into related work as departmental needs require. A team-first mindset is essential.

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with core hours of approximately 8:30 a.m. to 5:00pm p.m., Monday through Friday. Because prospect needs and community events do not always fall within standard business hours, occasional evening and weekend availability is expected to support tours, move-ins, events, and other time-sensitive needs.

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Relevant experience working with older adults, families and/or family dynamics. Experience working in a senior living community preferred.
  • Five years of experience in an advising, consultative, social-service oriented, or people-relations role required.
  • Experience with or knowledge of sales and/or marketing concepts preferred.
  • A consultative, empathetic, prospect-centered disposition — committed to providing transparent, accurate information so each prospect can make the decision that is right for them.
  • Strong technical aptitude is essential. Demonstrated proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred), the Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to quickly learn new software and databases.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills; comfort interacting with prospects, residents, and families.
Physical/Mental Requirement

Work requires high attention and mental demands, including the ability to prioritize and process information with accuracy and clarity. Requires the ability to walk regularly for campus tours, lift/carry 10 pounds maximum, 1-2 pounds frequently. Hearing and vision compensated to a functional level that is required to meet the essential functions of the job. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment as necessary.

Working and Environmental Conditions:

Normal office or administrative working conditions with little or no exposure to undesirable elements.
