Iowa Lakes Community College seeks a full-time RSVP Project Director to oversee Northwest Iowa RSVP operations. Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Director

General Job Summary:
This is a full-time, 260-day grant-funded position with campus location to be determined upon hire. Under the general direction of AmeriCorps Seniors policy guidelines and sponsor, Iowa Lakes Community College, the RSVP Project Director oversees the development and day-to-day operation of the Northwest Iowa RSVP. The project director is responsible for public relations, for the project operation, and compliance. The successful candidate must be highly organized and demonstrate effective communication skills. Program success is contingent upon a Director who has a positive attitude, commitment to accuracy, and sound judgement. Occasional evening and/or weekend work required. Position is contingent upon continued grant funding and successful completion of a full FBI background check. Current program has been approved through March 31, 2027. New grant cycle has been every three years and Iowa Lakes has been the sponsor for the program since 1977.Required to travel utilizing personal vehicle. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, and provide proof of insurance.

Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Work experience in community service, knowledge of national service programs, background in volunteer leadership, experience in grant management and familiarity with non-profit management is desired/preferred.

Salary: $47,035 for a 260-day contract
