Job summary

Howell Public Schools is seeking Substitute Teachers (Retired School Employees) to fill multiple openings across various buildings in Howell, Michigan. The role involves implementing approved curricula, supervising students, and maintaining open communication with parents and guardians.

Work Year is Ten Months (August–May). Daily rates depend on position: $110/day for daily substitutes, $140/day for long-term substitutes, $150/day for building substitutes, and $170/day for long-term certified

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor’s or higher degree.
• Daily Substitute Teaching Permit or Valid Michigan teacher's certificate required.
• Educational experience preferred.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Teaches district-approved curriculum and local/state standards.
• Plans a program of study that meets individual needs and abilities.
• Creates a positive, engaging classroom environment for learning.
