Job summary

Eye Associates of New Mexico seeks an Ophthalmic Technician - Retina Coordinator in Santa Fe. The full-time role schedules retinal injections and lasers, supports physicians, and maintains accurate patient records. Requires COA certification and at least two years of clinical experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Starting pay is $16.50/hour, with benefits included. Responsibilities include pre-registration, chart reviews, and assisting with intraocular pressure checks

Qualifications

• Must be certified at the COA level with a minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; customer service orientation.
• Typing skills of at least 35 wpm desirable.

Responsibilities

• Schedule retinal injections and laser procedures.
• Maintain intravitreal injection supply and track drugs.
• Process prior authorizations for procedures/medications.
• Document patient interactions and appointment changes in the chart.
• Perform age-appropriate ophthalmic testing and basic diagnostic tasks.
• Complete required LMS trainings annually.
