Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Retina Ophthalmologist to join our Ophthalmology team in Fogelsville, PA. You will provide advanced retina care, perform intravitreal injections and surgeries, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

The role requires Fellowship in Retina, board eligibility or certification, and PA medical licensure or ability to obtain. Work is onsite in a busy, supportive setting with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified with American Board of Ophthalmology.
• A valid Pennsylvania Medical License or ability to obtain one is required.
• Reasonable call expectation.
• Fellowship trained in Retina.

Responsibilities

• Provide retina specialty care within a high-volume practice.
• Perform intravitreal injections and vitreoretinal surgeries as needed.
• Collaborate with Ophthalmology team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Coordinate patient care across clinical and hospital settings.

In a Retina Surgical Specialist career, you’ll experience:

• Work with a team of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Opticians, and Certified Ophthalmic Assistants
• Well established high-volume practice with strong referral network
• Includes clinical and surgical care of patients with retina diseases (Intravitreal injections, Vitreoretinal surgeries, ROP - Retinopathy of Prematurity Service)
• The office is equipped with full-scale equipment required to see patients of all ages. For a candidate interested in retina, the office is equipped with Cirrus OCT with Angio, Wide field Zeiss fundus camera, and Argon laser. There is a full-service optical shop that includes contact lens services. The office has a dedicated Medspa room offering limited aesthetic services.
• Surgeries are performed at ASC (no ownership stake) and in the hospital when general anesthesia is needed.
