While we continue to provide support for emotional support animals (ESAs) and psychiatric service dogs (PSDs), helping individuals secure essential documentation and training, these services are part of our mission to meet our nation's diverse mental health needs.

Position Description

As one of the early members of the retention team, the Retention Marketing Lead will drive all of our lifecycle and retention marketing efforts. They will lead the development and execution of lifecycle initiatives that cater to different stages of the customer journey, ensuring seamless transitions and continued brand affinity.

We're seeking someone ready to take on a challenging, collaborative, and hands-on role, and who is looking to make a significant impact from day one. They will have access to a network of industry experts for thought leadership and mentorship and will work closely with the entire growth team. Collaboration is key to our success.

Lifecycle Marketing is a key pillar in driving customer retention. Our ideal candidate is obsessed with the customer journey and can think outside the box to enhance our communication strategies. What You'll Do:
  • Lifecycle Communications Strategy: Own lifecycle communications (via email and SMS) from ideation to deployment and performance analysis, converting new users to first orders and engaging them throughout their lifecycle.
  • Collaboration: Work with the growth team and internal departments to align lifecycle marketing with broader business objectives.
  • Performance Optimization: Develop testing roadmaps, share results, and optimize campaigns based on metrics and insights.
  • Marketing Automation: Use automation tools to develop content strategies for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze campaign performance to inform strategy changes.
  • Expertise Development: Become knowledgeable in email + SMS programs, customer journey, and CRM platforms.
  • Brand Advocacy: Create engaging content that reflects our brand values and resonates with our audience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on CRM trends, best practices, and new technologies.
Who You Are:
  • A seasoned Lifecycle Marketer with a proven track record in customer retention and lifecycle workflows.
  • Experience with subscription management, churn reduction, and cohort analysis.
  • Passionate about the customer journey, email, and SMS marketing.
  • Creative, collaborative, and data-driven.
  • Detail-oriented, autonomous, and motivated.
  • Excellent communicator, thrives in fast-paced environments.
What You'll Bring:
  • 3-5 years of CRM/lifecycle experience, ideally in e-commerce or DTC subscriptions.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Active Campaign, Klaviyo, Iterable).
  • Experience with A/B testing, data analysis, and personalization.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; bonus for Python or other data tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML & CSS for email, loyalty programs, and engagement tools is a plus.
Time Commitment:

This is a full-time contract requiring overlap with US ET hours. Dedication beyond standard hours is expected to meet our ambitious goals.

Location:

Fully remote. We cannot provide Visa or work permit sponsorship at this time.

Compensation:

Competitive base salary, benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellness stipend, and unlimited PTO with a two-week minimum.
