Retention & Growth Lead - Kohler Ventures

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite in Palo Alto, CA or New York City, NY

We are seeking an experienced Retention & Growth Lead to drive engagement, retention, and growth across our website and subscription products. This role will be responsible for subscription revenue, user growth, and implementing strategies to maximize customer acquisition and retention. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, creative, and knowledgeable in CRM, lifecycle, and growth marketing principles.

Responsibilities
  1. Achieve growth and retention targets for revenue and user base
  2. Develop and execute customer lifecycle strategies to identify at-risk users, reduce churn, and foster loyalty while maximizing customer lifetime value
  3. Manage and leverage our Customer Data Platform (CDP) for audience segmentation, personalized communication, and automated campaigns
  4. Lead campaign management across performance media to enhance reach, consideration, and conversions
  5. Advise on creative workflows for owned and paid channels (email, media, direct mail, in-app messaging) to nurture leads and engage customers
  6. Plan, execute, and optimize email and SMS marketing campaigns, including segmentation and A/B testing
  7. Drive app signups and engagement through targeted campaigns and in-app messaging
  8. Optimize our presence on app stores to increase visibility and downloads
  9. Identify and develop new revenue opportunities within app subscriptions
  10. Utilize analytics tools to track KPIs, derive insights, and inform decisions
  11. Collaborate closely with the Kohler Ventures Commercial team, including Customer Success and Product teams
Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field from a top US institution
  • 4+ years in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or growth marketing, focusing on website users and subscription models, preferably in wellness and tech industries
  • Proven success in developing campaigns that boost engagement, retention, and revenue
  • Hands-on experience with performance media channels (SEM, Paid Social, Display, Affiliates)
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms, automation, and best practices
  • Experience with App Store Optimization (ASO) and app store advertising
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making
  • Experience with ESP platforms and CRM tools
  • Track record of acquiring new customers and reducing churn
  • Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and proactive work ethic
  • Travel requirement: approximately 10%

Additional Information

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. The salary range is $109,550 - $136,950, with potential adjustments based on experience and location, including a cost of living differential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k. The position is also eligible for bonuses and incentives.
