Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in Greenwich, CT, is seeking team members for friendly, attentive service and pastry/ beverage preparation. You will engage guests, anticipate needs, and handle retail and dining room orders with care.

The position offers training, a collaborative environment, and opportunities to grow within Convive Brands, with pay ranging from $16.94 to $20 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, Toast is a plus.
• Flexible schedule preferred but not required.
• Ability to be cross-trained in all areas of dining room and retail space.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to guests throughout their visit.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences provided by the guest.
• Prepare drinks for retail and dining room, including batches for the retail counter.
• Bag, box, and arrange to-go food and pastries.
• Perform sales transactions in accordance with cash handling policy.
• Maintain pastry display and knowledge of items.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; complete daily checklist and side work assignments.
• Keep all areas of the restaurant clean and organized by following cleaning checklists.
• Answer the phone with proper etiquette and take orders over the phone.
