Job Overview

The Retail Warehouse Receiving Lead is responsible for organizing and executing all retail inventory product receiving and distribution. This role ensures accurate inventory practices for merchandise intake and transfer, maintaining communication with the buying and shop management teams to ensure a smooth flow of merchandise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Train new team members on receiving practices and standards.
  2. Ensure accurate receipt of merchandise by cross-referencing invoices with purchase orders.
  3. Communicate with the buying team regarding cost discrepancies and take appropriate actions.
  4. Assist in monthly inventory counts and general ledger audits.
  5. Maintain system expertise related to receiving functions.
  6. Update restock sheets for shop teams and communicate replenishment needs.
  7. Manage special order requests and coordinate timely shipping.
  8. Coordinate with third-party vendors for merchandise and supply needs.
  9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years experience in a shipping environment; retail shipping experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions aligned with company goals.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit or stand for extended periods.
Work Environment

Retail warehouse setting requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including nights and weekends.
