Job summary

Ashley Furniture is hiring a Retail Warehouse Associate to join our El Paso warehouse team. You will learn to safely receive, store, assemble, and prepare furniture for pickup or delivery, using forklifts and other equipment as needed.

You’ll help ensure product quality and accuracy, support inventory, and work closely with teammates to deliver excellent customer experiences. A reliable work ethic and safety-first mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Physical capability to lift, push, pull and move heavy items safely.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, or retail handling is a plus but training is provided.
• Commitment to high product quality and accuracy in preparation and handling.
• Strong teamwork and clear communication with customers, teammates and leaders.
• Proven reliability, good attendance and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely receive, move, store, assemble, and prepare furniture and home furnishings throughout the warehouse and distribution process.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, lifts, pallet jacks and dollies per safety rules.
• Inspect, prepare, and maintain merchandise to Ashley quality standards before pickup or delivery.
• Load, unload, organize, and stage merchandise to support efficient warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.
• Assist with product preparation, minor repairs, touch-ups, and repackaging to ensure merchandise is customer-ready.
• Support inventory management activities, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Provide excellent customer service in the warehouse and when delivering to homes, representing the Ashley brand.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and document activities accurately.

• Physical Capability: Able to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver furniture and merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds, withassistancefor heavier items as needed, while performing frequent physical activity throughout the workday.
• Warehouse & Technical Skills: Experience in warehouse, distribution, retail, furniture handling, inventory, assembly, material handling, or powered industrial equipment operation is preferred but notrequired; we will train the right candidate.
