Job summary

MathCo, a global Enterprise AI and Analytics firm, seeks an Associate Principal to lead senior client engagements and shape transformation programs using data, analytics, and AI. You will partner with executive leaders to translate strategy into scalable consulting initiatives and drive measurable outcomes.

You will work with a global delivery team, manage multi-workstreams, and expand the Retail & Consumer Consulting practice, with clear path toward Principal-level leadership.

Qualifications

• 12–16 years of professional experience in management consulting, business consulting, analytics consulting, or enterprise strategy.
• Experience advising Fortune 500 clients on business transformation, digital transformation, analytics, or AI-enabled initiatives.
• Demonstrated success building trusted relationships with senior executives and influencing business decisions.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream consulting engagements from strategy through execution.
• Strong commercial mindset with experience supporting account growth, client expansion, and long-term partnership development.
• Working knowledge of data, analytics, AI, and enterprise technology sufficient to engage technical teams and translate business needs into solution opportunities.
• Experience working with global delivery teams and cross-functional organizations.
• Strong business acumen within retail, consumer products, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Exceptional executive communication, structured problem solving, and presentation skills.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Candidates currently operating as Associate Principals or high-performing Engagement Managers ready for promotion are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, providing strategic guidance on business transformation enabled by data, analytics, and AI.
• Build strong executive relationships across business functions and position MathCo as a long-term strategic consulting partner.
• Understand client priorities and translate business challenges into high-value consulting engagements.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships by developing new consulting initiatives across merchandising, customer, supply chain, stores, digital, and enterprise functions.
• Drive account growth through proactive opportunity identification, executive engagement, and consultative problem solving.
• Partner closely with MathCo's global delivery organization to successfully execute complex analytics and AI programs.
• Lead executive workshops, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions with client leadership.
• Provide oversight for engagement quality, resource planning, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.
• Mentor Engagement Managers and consulting teams while helping build MathCo's consulting capabilities and retail practice.

We are looking for an Associate Principal to serve as a senior consulting leader and trusted advisor, partnering with executive stakeholders to solve complex business challenges through data, analytics, and AI.

This is first and foremost a business consulting role. You will work closely with senior client leaders to understand strategic priorities, identify opportunities for transformation, and shape consulting engagements that deliver measurable business outcomes. Leveraging MathCo's deep AI and analytics capabilities, you will help clients translate business strategy into scalable solutions while building long-term executive relationships.

You will partner with our global delivery teams to ensure successful execution while owning the overall health and growth of the client relationship. This role offers significant ownership, executive exposure, and the opportunity to help expand one of MathCo's most strategic retail partnerships.

This position provides a clear path toward Principal-level leadership and offers the opportunity to shape MathCo's growing Retail & Consumer Consulting practice.
