Retail Tech Consultant - Central PA (Finance)

Job Overview:

Plan, execute, and administer the Region Retail Technology activities involving marketing, installation, and training of retail store improvement systems, as well as the implementation and support of essential UNFI strategic technology systems. Achieve budgeted Retail Systems sales and profits for assigned retail customers. Serve as the focal point for implementing Retail Technology marketing plans in coordination with Regional organizations, Corporate UNFI, and external resources for assigned UNFI-affiliated retail customers across the region.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage retailer relationships by establishing individual retailer technology implementation plans with assigned UNFI-affiliated retailers, in collaboration with the Regional R/T Director and other departments. Develop territory-specific R/T marketing plans to meet corporate and regional goals, improve wholesale food profit performance, increase retailer participation, and enhance retailer profitability.
2. Collaborate with Retail Business Consultants to assess and diagnose retailer operational issues, identify how R/T products can provide solutions, and work with store management to implement these solutions.
3. Diagnose retailer operational issues related to R/T products, develop recommendations, coordinate corrective actions with store management and relevant departments, and keep management informed of issue status.
4. Execute marketing plans through presentations, consultations, proposals, order processing, site evaluations, project coordination, equipment installation, and training. Adhere to policies regarding equipment and capital purchases.
5. Provide on-site support for R/S product offerings, coordinate hardware/software maintenance, monitor service providers, and take corrective actions as needed.
6. Stay informed of emerging retailer technology needs and communicate these to management.
7. Monitor competitive strategies and offerings, report findings to management.
8. Assist in developing sales, income, and expense goals for assigned retailers and track performance against these goals.
9. Maintain industry knowledge through conferences, training, and seminars.
10. Report significant regional issues to the Regional Director of Retail Technology.

Work Environment:

This is a remote position. Associates may work from their primary residence and are welcome to use the office but are not required to do so. Travel is required for this role. Occasional visits to UNFI locations may be necessary.
