Job summary

pOpshelf is hiring a Team Member to provide outstanding customer service while stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and operating the cash register at our Mobile, Alabama location. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe store and assisting customers with purchases in a fast-paced environment.

High school diploma preferred; ability to read planograms is essential. The job includes frequent standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and the use of scanners and POS systems.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Able to follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Strong math skills and ability to operate a cash register.
• Experience stocking and displaying merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to exceed expectations.
• Memorize product knowledge and use selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized store environment.
• Assist merchandising to create eye-catching displays.
• Rotate product to drive sales following guidelines.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
• Condense and reset displayed merchandise daily.
• Follow SOPs and handbook policies.
• Operate cash register and scanner, handle payments, bag items.
• Assist customers at self-checkout across multiple registers.
• Unpack, stock, restock, rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Clean store, take out trash, mop floors, clean restrooms and receiving area.
