Job summary

Levain Bakery is hiring a Retail Team Member in Boston to deliver warm, helpful customer service and maintain an inviting store environment. You will engage customers, provide product knowledge, and support daily operations with a team-focused approach.

The role requires open availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with a base pay of $17.00–$19.25 per hour plus tips. Training on Toast POS and a commitment to Levain’s values are expected.

The ROLE: RETAIL TEAM MEMBER

Retail Team Members play a crucial role in delivering warm, helpful, and accurate customer service that reflects the dedication of the Levain brand. Retail Team Members foster customer loyalty by creating a welcoming environment that encourages customers to return again and again. Retail Team Members are also responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting store environment and supporting the team in daily operations.

Customer Service

Operations

• Consistently adhere to established protocols and maintain the highest standards of excellence to ensure all baked goods meet Levain Bakery’s quality standards
• Adept knowledge of Toast POS system
• Ensure all in-store and third-party delivery (3PD) orders are accurate and safely prepared
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the store, including customer areas, restrooms, and workspaces
• Assist in restocking and organizing inventory and adhere to guidelines given from Shift Lead or management

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Open availability: ability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift/push up to 25+ pounds, including overhead
• Stand/walk for an 8-hour shift (excluding a ½ hour break); some locations require walking up and down stairs
• Read and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
• $17-19.25/hour + tips
