Bachman’s Apple Valley store is seeking a Supervisor in Training to grow into store leadership with hands-on experience in operations, merchandising, inventory, and staff management.

You will learn from an experienced leadership team and support daily store functions while delivering exceptional customer service and mentoring team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail supervisory or management.
• Garden center knowledge (plants/landscape materials) required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with POS systems, Windows, and Excel.
• Demonstrated strength in employee relations, problem solving and customer service.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• High energy leadership, training, delegation and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing store operations and supervise retail tasks as assigned by leadership.
• Train and model exceptional customer service.
• Merchandising, ordering, stocking, displaying, inventory control of product.
• Provide daily supervision through participative management.
• Handle schedules, reviews, and timecards.
• Manage product quality and stock levels.
• Provide feedback to support departments.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and organization.
• Step in for Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager when needed.

Supervisor in Training Position

In this hands-on role, you'll gain the experience and support needed to become a successful retail supervisor. You'll work alongside an experienced leadership team to learn all aspects of store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, product ordering, team leadership, and administrative responsibilities. Job Duties:

• Assist in managing within assigned store operations, and directly supervise the retail operations as assigned by the Assistant Store Manager.
• Train and model exceptional customer service.
• Merchandising, ordering, stocking, displaying, inventory control of product.
• Learn how to provide daily supervision and work directly through a participative management style by encouraging a teamwork environment that meets customer expectations.
• Help perform required administrative functions on a timely basis: schedules, reviews, and timecards
• Manage product quality and stock levels.
• Provide feedback to support departments.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the store.
• Assist in managing the entire stores operation in absence of Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail supervisory or management capacity
• Previous knowledge or work-related experience in garden center products such as plants or landscape materials is required
• Good written and verbal communication skills demonstrated.
• Good technical knowledge including POS, Window’s and Excel.
• Demonstrated strength in employee relations, problem solving and customer service.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
• High energy level with the ability to provide strong leadership, train, delegate and motivate staff.

Compensation:
