Responsibilities
  1. Assist with training of retail staff and backup Retail Manager on days off
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of merchandise, styling and pricing according to the company’s policies and procedures
  3. Partner with Warehouse team to ensure proper transfers and merchandise levels at the store
  4. Understand the process, and assist the Retail Manager, with correct NPS markups on all products at all times including deli
  5. Maintain knowledge of product lines with an emphasis on local and regional facts to assist other staff and customers
  6. Assist with store set up: display and merchandising, inventory levels
  7. Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  8. Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests including using the point of sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, and making change
  9. Conduct inventory, restock merchandise, and ensure adequate merchandise supply levels working in conjunction with the Retail Manager
  10. Assist with managing all inventory to keep all items in stock during business hours
  11. Keep retail spaces organized and clean
  12. Prepare end of shift report, deposit receipts, and cash and advise Retail Manager accordingly
  13. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, laws, and regulations
  14. Ensure safety compliance by checking store, warehouse, and reporting and correcting issues as needed
  15. Ensure staff are following HR policies including rest periods, breaks, and managing overtime
  16. Coach, develop, and mentor staff including leading team meetings daily
  17. Understand company’s ISO management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives, and meet responsibilities within these areas, focusing on quality
  18. Maintain confidentiality related to job
  19. Foster a positive work environment emphasizing teamwork
  20. Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  1. Ability to work independently with little supervision
  2. Ability to read, follow, and report on budgetary issues in partnership with store manager
  3. Proven leadership skills capable of motivating staff
  4. Responsible for a sales department, tracking and improving merchandising, stock levels, and product assortment under advisement of the store manager
  5. Ability to drive staff between Warehouse and Store as needed
  6. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  7. Availability for various shifts including day, night, weekends, and holidays
  8. Familiarity with Retail Pro or similar POS systems
  9. Physical ability to lift 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally, involving bending, twisting, and squatting
  10. High School Diploma or equivalent
  11. Two years retail experience preferred
  12. Two years supervisory or leadership experience
  13. Valid Driver's License
