Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ames, IA is seeking a motivated Retail Store Processor for part-time hours at $12.00 per hour. The role supports processing and preparing donated goods, keeping the store organized, and helping meet production goals.

You'll sort and price merchandise, assist with production tracking, and ensure friendly donor interactions. Training is provided with ongoing coaching and team-based goal setting.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors
• Receive trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
• Paid training on store procedures
• Ongoing coaching and support from store leadership
• Opportunity to build retail and customer service skills

Job description

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: 25 hours per week, Monday - Saturday, Flexible scheduling required
