Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Roanoke Rapids, NC is seeking a Manager in Training to support Store Manager in daily operations, inventory, merchandising and customer service. This role trains across departments and steps up in the Store Manager's absence.

You will develop leadership skills, supervise staff, promote sales, ensure policy compliance and protect assets while delivering outstanding service to customers.

Qualifications

• Retail experience, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and support store goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative and task ownership.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking.
• Team-player focused on customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets of the store.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure extraordinary customer service is maintained per service manuals.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold policies, procedures, and standards; protect assets and internal controls.
