Job summary

Squishable is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales, and nurture the in-store experience in a fast-paced, creative retail setting.

The successful candidate will recruit, train, and motivate a diverse team, manage merchandising and inventory, and ensure exceptional customer service while upholding company standards and policies. This role offers a dynamic, flexible schedule and generous benefits through Squishable.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of retail management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, creative customer-facing environment
• 2–5 years of customer service experience
• Passion for people and empowering, inspiring, motivating, teaching, and developing team members
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to balance priorities in a fast-changing environment
• Able to receive and provide constructive feedback to maintain a high-performance culture
• High emotional intelligence and ability to manage diverse teams with empathy and motivation
• Team player who fosters collaboration and engagement in the store
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Able to lift cartons up to 25 lbs.

What does a Squishable Store Manager do?

The Store Manager oversees the daily operations of the store and is accountable for its sales performance, its team, and its standards. Responsibilities include:

• Leading, motivating, and developing the store team, including hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training
• Setting and executing business strategies for the store in partnership with the Regional Manager
• Opening and closing the store (at times on your own) and taking responsibility for accurate day-start and day-end cash handling
• Ensuring accurate inventory levels and punctual restocking of merchandise on the floor
• Maintaining a high standard of merchandise presentation
• Maintaining enthusiasm and motivation in the store, and ensuring a fun and memorable environment
• Supporting all types of POS transactions and customer inquiries
• Adhering to all company policies, practices, and safety standards

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of retail management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, challenging, and creative customer-facing environment
• 2–5 years of customer service experience
• Passion for people! A dynamic and engaged leader with a passion for empowering, inspiring, motivating, teaching, and developing team members
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to balance priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and highly entrepreneurial environment

Compensation

Pay range for this position is $24.00-$26.00 per hour, plus monthly bonus potential
