Job Summary

This position contributes to Sun Tan City’s success by leading a team to create and maintain the Sun Tan City Experience for our clients. The Salon Director manages overall salon operations, supervises staff, handles staffing decisions, ensures client satisfaction, monitors performance, manages safety and cleanliness, and models Sun Tan City principles to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Develop and coach employees to provide excellent client experiences
  • Address client concerns promptly
  • Maintain a calm, positive demeanor during busy periods
  • Hold team accountable for quality service
  • Drive performance metrics and develop action plans
  • Promote the culture, values, and mission of Sun Tan City
  • Delegate responsibilities for smooth operations
  • Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the salon
  • Manage staffing levels and employee development
  • Adhere to wage and hour laws
  • Use operational tools to achieve excellence
  • Analyze financial reports for performance trends
  • Conduct performance assessments and set goals
  • Manage ongoing sales activities
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including varying shifts
Experience & Physical Requirements
  • College education preferred but not required
  • Management and/or sales experience required
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform cleaning functions for long periods
