Position: Retail Store Manager - Bellevue

Location: 10110 South 15th St., Suite 104, Bellevue, NE 68123

Buff City Soap is on a mission to create handmade products that are free of harsh ingredients and full of nourishing plant-based goodies to make your skin happy. Buff City Soap Products are fresh, made in each soap makery daily with ingredients you can pronounce. We are currently accepting applications for a Store Manager. The Store Manager contributes to Buff City Soap’s success by leading a team to create and maintain the Buff City Experience for our clients. The Store Manager is required to regularly exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the makery.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences.
  2. Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
  3. Consistently sets a positive example and demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
  4. Displays a client-first attitude by holding team members accountable for quality client service.
  5. Drives company metrics by developing action plans and motivating the makery team.
  6. Manages with integrity and promotes the culture, values, and mission of Buff City Soap.
  7. Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates responsibilities to team members.
  8. Manages stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
  9. Maintains outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising compliance.
  10. Responsible for production, cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the makery.
  11. Manages staffing levels to ensure employee development and operational requirements.
  12. Adheres to applicable wage and hour laws for non-exempt team members and minors.
  13. Uses operational tools to achieve excellence in the makery.
  14. Utilizes financial reports to identify and address trends in makery performance.
  15. Conducts performance assessments and provides feedback to improve sales performance.
  16. Manages ongoing sales.

The Store Manager is required to work a 5-day workweek of 40 hours per week. The Store Manager must also work varying mid and/or closing shifts as determined by supervisors based on business trends and staffing needs.

Experience:

  1. College education preferred, but not required.
  2. Management and/or Sales experience required.
  3. Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  4. Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  6. Strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
  7. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor.
  8. Team building skills.
  9. Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  2. Must not be sensitive to various scents and fragrances.
  3. Dexterity of hands and fingers.
  4. Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes up to 50lbs.
  5. Ability to perform cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
