Position Overview:

Malley’s Chocolates is looking for a passionate, results-driven Retail Store Manager to lead one of our vibrant candy and ice cream stores. This role is essential in delivering an exceptional customer experience while achieving strong store performance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, leading their team with enthusiasm, a hands-on attitude, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management
  • Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and store cleanliness.
  • Enforce company policies and operational procedures to ensure smooth and consistent performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage supply orders, and implement rotation practices to maintain product freshness.
  • Team Leadership
  • Hire, train, and lead a high-performing team of retail and parlor staff.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and support to foster growth and ensure a positive team culture.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules aligned with customer traffic and labor budget goals.
  • Customer Experience
  • Champion a culture of hospitality and exceptional service for every guest.
  • Proactively resolve customer concerns to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Drive customer engagement through in-store events, promotions, and seasonal features.
  • Financial Management
  • Achieve sales targets and profitability goals through effective merchandising, upselling, and cost control.
  • Monitor and analyze store financials including revenue, expenses, and performance trends.
  • Create and execute action plans based on performance metrics to maximize success.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all products meet Malley’s standards for quality, presentation, and freshness.
  • Conduct regular checks of facilities, displays, and equipment to maintain food safety compliance.
  • Uphold brand integrity through rigorous attention to detail in product and service delivery.


Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business, Retail Management, or related field preferred (not required).
  • 2–4 years of retail management experience required; experience in food or confectionery strongly preferred (not required).
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Solid knowledge of retail best practices including inventory, merchandising, and operations.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and in good standing
