Position Overview:

Rookwood is seeking a full-time Retail Store Manager to lead our flagship location in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. As the face of our historic brand, you’ll be responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and informed retail experience—one that reflects the artistry and story behind every piece we make.

You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, manage a small but mighty team, and collaborate cross-functionally with our marketing and production teams to support in-store events and launches. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building meaningful customer relationships, mentoring others, and creating a store environment that is as beautiful as it is functional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver an exceptional in-store experience rooted in product knowledge and hospitality
• Lead, coach, and schedule the retail team to meet sales goals and service standards
• Maintain inventory, merchandising, and store presentation with care and attention to detail
• Collaborate with the Creative and Marketing teams on seasonal floor sets and in-store storytelling
• Support workshops, events, and product launches from planning through execution
• Serve as a key point of contact for customers—via phone, email, and in person
• Partner with the Retail Operations Manager on staffing, training, and stock planning

Requirements:

• 2+ years of retail experience; management experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with POS systems (Shopify a plus) and basic retail operations
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic digital tools
• Availability on weekends and for occasional evening events
• Reliable transportation
